Each summer, BUMC offers two Faith in Action mission trip for our youth. Teams of youth and adult leaders typically travel to a community in need, where they spend a week in a variety of service opportunities including repairing homes, performing cleanup and landscaping, and working directly with children or seniors. Previous mission teams have gone to a variety of locations, near and far, including Harrisburg, PA; New Mexico, and Belize. Planning for the trips begins in the fall and spaces can be reserved with a deposit. Several fundraising events are held throughout the year to help offset some of the expenses (parents and youth are required to participate if they wish to receive a discount).
