BUMC and Congregation Beth El continue to work together to offer support to an Afghan family who recently came to the U.S. under the sponsorship of Lutheran Social Services. Donations, financial and other, are currently being sought to help the family in the areas of technology, food, clothing, transportation & more (see letter for all the details). If you'd like to give a financial contribution, please make your check payable to BUMC and mark “Refugee family” on the memo line. BUMC and Congregation Beth El will make sure that your contributions will go to support the Maruf-Sadat family’s most urgent and immediate needs. Clothing Donations Needed (as of 12/20/21)
We are looking for donations of new winter clothes that are age appropriate. There is limited storage in the family’s apartment, so the goal is to collect only a few of each of the listed items.
